We do not judge people. We know that surrendering your bird should be a last resort and we are willing to work with you with regard to the handling and care of your bird. Sometimes, a few steps or tips can transform a relationship and we are willing to help. Birds require a lot of time, patience, and understanding - and if you are willing and able to put in the time and effort, we can help you with the process.
However, we know that sometimes a situation arises that makes finding another home for your bird the best choice for both of you. Perhaps your living situation or financial situation has changed, or you were left with an elderly or deceased person’s bird. You want to do right by your bird, and if that means surrendering him/her to another home we can help.
If you know of a bird that’s being abused or has been abandoned, please give them a chance by contacting us.
Please note that we are a Bird Rescue, this means we do not pay for birds. We do offer a service that is free of charge that includes: housing, feeding and rehabilitating your bird (as necessary). Your bird will receive a proper diet, a cage that is appropriate for his/her size and needs, medical attention and a loving home.
Being a home based rescue allows us to give the birds more one on one attention and really evaluate them to ensure they get matched with the right home.
